We are so excited to have Dr. Hunt on our staff! She approaches each appointment with a focus on the patient’s unique needs and strives to build a trusting, long-term relationship with every patient she meets. Before joining Dr. Laster at our dental office, Dr. Dalton Hunt had five years of dentistry experience, and we look forward to having her with our team for many years to come.
Early on in life, Dr. Hunt was interested in hands-on learning and wanted to help people. With her heavy science background, she naturally gravitated toward dentistry. When she participated in a dental immersion program in Guatemala, her desire to pursue a career in the dental field was solidified, and she hasn’t regretted her decision for one second since!
For her undergraduate degree, Dr. Hunt attended UNC Wilmington. Later, she graduated from dental school at the University of Louisville. Since then, she has had advanced training in general dentistry at Chapel Hill and focused primarily on cosmetics, including restoring implants, veneers, and Invisalign. Her continuing education courses have given her an extensive background in sleep and pediatric dentistry as well. Dr. Hunt is also a member of the NCAWD (North Carolina Academy of Women Dentists).
As a native to Raleigh, NC, Dr. Hunt enjoys running and playing soccer. In fact, she played soccer through dental school and during her time at UNC Wilmington. She also loves going to the beach and going to the gym. However, more than anything else, she loves playing with her young children, Gibson and Reeves. She and her husband, who is also a general dentist, also have two German shorthaired pointers, Barnes and Mabel.
Dr. Hunt is also a proud member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church; her father was an associate pastor at the church when she was growing up.
